LEARNING NOT TO CONTROL WITH ANGER

The most common tool used to control another person is anger.  But why not try to influence with patience and respect?  Control is “my way.”  Influence is more collaborative but does not bring instantaneous results. Jesus told us to love one another (Jn 13:34) and Paul wrote that love is patient and kind (1 Cor. 13:4). Both of these truths alleviates stress for the person who needs to control a situation and the receiver who may have a different opinion.
