I watched a short Youtube video on grafting a branch into the trunk of a tree. Sounds like a complicated task but it is quite simple when watching an expert. You take a knife and pry back the bark of the tree and slip in branches, slop some wood glue around the base of the graft and wait for ‘mother nature’ to do the rest.
Jesus wants us to be grafted to Him (Jn 15:4-5). You don’t need wood glue. Just belief. Yes, belief holds the graft tightly. Mother Nature is, of course, the Holy Spirit who makes a new tree out of the graft and heals it. What if we grafted the Holy Spirit into a marriage and asked Him to purge criticism and verbal abuse?
