In the Bible the world is in competition with the Earth. God created the Earth. The Apostle John wrote: ‘Do not love the world or anything in the world (1 Jn. 2:15). If we get our self-esteem from the world we will be stressed indeed! Instead get your self-esteem from the Cross. Then stress can and does evaporate. What would happen if you traded in the world for the Cross?
