There is nothing in the Bible that says God lives by our timetable.

His answers to your prayers are all the way from immediately… to sometime around the end of our life.

Why does God seem slow to answer prayer?

It seems like he is taking his merry time when we desperately need answers.

God’s Viewpoint

God promises to answer prayer (Mat. 7:7-12). God does not lie (Numbers 23:19). His will for us is perfect (Rom. 12:2).

Therefore, his answers are truthful and perfect. We can’t go wrong! But when will the answer?

The Timetable

A prayer my mother prayed for me at my birth began forming two years before she died. With my free will, I decided I wasn’t ready until then (see her prayer below).

Do we forget?

Most of the time, we forget about our prayers and don’t realize they have been answered…many times years before.

So lets do this: Pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17) and watch for his answers. We may find them in the Bible or through another person.

Perfect Time

Pray back his own words in the Bible and be discerning, watching and patient.

He WILL answer your prayer at the perfect time.

My mother’s prayer…? She prayed I would become a pastor.
