Fear of failure is easy to understand. Fear of success, however, is the realization that to stay successful you must maintain excellence. The fear is the thought that you can’t or may not be able to do it. Marriages often start out excellent and then begin to fail because the husband and wife aren’t maintaining the same excellent traits they learned in courting. Spending time together without cell phones. Finding joint activities or relationships with the same friends. Remaining attractive to each other through diet and exercise. And not allowing addictions to come between the relationship. The list goes on, but the main ingredient in a successful marriage is togetherness. Some couples fear they just can’t do it because it takes effort to maintain excellence. To right a marriage, begin with healthy communication. That’s how the relationship started in the first place!
