Drama Addiction

Drama definition:  An exciting, emotional, or unexpected series of events or set of circumstances.  It can also be an addiction.

Why an addiction?

Some people need to have drama in their lives and in its’ absence seek it. They do this because they don’t like their own reality and it is an escape to get caught up into some one else’s.

To seek drama a wife or husband might criticize each other with a nasty tone.  It’s an addiction.  A quiet simple life in a drama addict causes withdrawal symptoms so they seek tension to feel in control.  They also think it makes them more interesting.

Staying away from it

If you are criticized for not participating in your spouse’s addiction (or anyone else’s for that matter), just smile and remain quiet. You will be a role model of Christlike behavior.  1 Thess. 4:11-12.
